Why do I work here??

I don't know if I have ever been so embarrased to work for an organization. I know that we can not always look at the past for what we need now or the future. We have to keep up with the times, and what the public and our state needs from us at the current time. That is why I try to refrain from saying I wish things were back the way they used to be, but I do wish things were greatly different. I think that even our seasoned guys that have many years of experience have lost their ever-loving minds. We all have a job to do, and people to serve. Our higher ups are so have their men so afraid to do their jobs. I have gotten to where I feel sorry for those who call us when they are in need. I side with them when they find themselves angy and disgusted with us over our lack of service. When you have a trooper that is in his county that he works, and receives a call for service, and it takes him an hour and a half, and then he wonders why they are not there when he arrives. Many times, these calls are a female with three kids on the side of the interstate in the middle of the summer in the heat. I understand they get frustrated helping those who just didn't get gas when they knew they were low. It happens all day long. But when I send someone to a wreck, and they just go when they want, what the hell.

But I got way off topic. I wish that we had people that could do their job. Let's not pass the buck to the next guy. Let's not mention positions, because heaven forbid that I lose my job. Let's just say that I already have a hard time working for such an organization that thinks so little of those doing the work, and thinks so much of the image they have created for themselves.

Let's not get into lack of supervision. And we will not!
